Local Physical Therapy Near You in Portland
Physical therapy should be personal, focused, and built around the way your body actually functions. Our approach emphasizes one-on-one care and a comprehensive view of musculoskeletal health using advanced, evidence-based methods that help patients avoid surgery and achieve lasting results.
At Whole Body Health Physical Therapy, every patient works directly with a skilled, certified Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) to develop an individualized treatment plan. That same provider guides your care from your first visit through your final session. There are no aides or assistants involved in your treatment.
Care is never fragmented. If you choose to involve other healthcare providers, your DPT will collaborate with them to ensure your treatment stays aligned and effective. The goal is to support your full health picture, not operate in isolation. This multidisciplinary team approach ensures treatment improves quality of life through coordinated, outcomes-focused care.
This philosophy is reflected in how we treat conditions. Instead of focusing only on symptoms, we evaluate how your entire musculoskeletal system contributes to pain or dysfunction. Whether you’re dealing with back pain, a sports injury, post-surgical recovery, TMJ dysfunction, or pelvic floor concerns, treatment is designed with the whole body in mind. Our therapists use evidence-based methods to diagnose, alleviate, and correct movement dysfunction while teaching self-management techniques for long-term wellness.
Patients throughout the Portland area rely on this approach, especially when previous treatments have not provided lasting relief. Athletes returning to sport, busy professionals needing flexible hours, and seniors maintaining mobility all benefit from our specialized, holistic approach that reduces pain naturally.

Starting Physical Therapy
Request your appointment
Call us or request an appointment online. New patients are welcome, and advance booking is recommended. Online booking makes scheduling convenient, and we work to minimize wait time for appointments. Many patients ask, "Do I need a referral?" In most cases, no referral is required to begin treatment.
Initial evaluation
Your first visit is a comprehensive, one-on-one assessment with a Doctor of Physical Therapy. We evaluate the full musculoskeletal system, not just the area of discomfort. This thorough evaluation includes biomechanical analysis, range of motion testing, and functional assessment to diagnose the root cause of your condition. First-time PT patients often ask, "Will it hurt?"Our gentle, progressive approach prioritizes your comfort while achieving therapeutic results.
Personalized treatment plan
Based on your evaluation, your DPT creates a plan tailored to your condition, goals, and lifestyle, including guided exercises you can perform at home. Your therapist will discuss your recovery timeline, expected treatment duration, and alternatives to surgery if applicable. We provide clear information about what to bring to sessions and answer questions about the cost of physical therapy and insurance coverage.
Hands-on treatment
Each session includes manual therapy, targeted exercises, and education to help you better understand and manage your condition. Our skilled therapists use advanced techniques to mobilize joints, manipulate soft tissue, and correct dysfunction. Treatment may include therapeutic modalities, kinesiology-based exercises, and specialized techniques tailored to your needs.
Progress and prevention
As you improve, treatment shifts toward long-term function and injury prevention, helping you maintain results beyond the clinic. We track your progress using outcomes-focused metrics and adjust your program as you strengthen and restore flexibility. Our goal is to help you achieve lasting results and return to the activities you love.
