Steffi Ryan, PT, DPT

She/Her/Hers

Whole Body Health PT @ NW Portland

Scholastics:

Stefanie grew up in Madison, Wisconsin, where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Wisconsin. She then went on to receive her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. While at Emory, Stefanie received the Award for Excellence in Clinical Practice — “for exemplifying the drive to advance the profession and who demonstrated knowledge and skills in a specialized area of patient care.”

Credentials and Continuing Education:

Outside of her doctorate, Stefanie received her pelvic floor education through The Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehab Institute, and she has goals to expand on her knowledge and combine her passion of endurance athletes and pelvic floor. Her favorite part of physical therapy is when her patients feel resilient and able to get back to doing the things they love.

Experience:

Stefanie has spent her physical therapy career working in the Portland metro area in the outpatient orthopedic setting. She has treated patients from a wide range of ages from adolescents to geriatrics, and has experience in general orthopedics, sports rehab, pelvic floor, and has completed coursework in Pilates instructor training through Polestar.

Hobbies:

When not in the clinic, Stefanie can most likely be found somewhere outside. She loves running and backpacking throughout the PNW trails and believes that food tastes best after a weekend in the mountains.

Stefanie also enjoys gardening, reading, and soccer. She finished high school with 2 state championships and continued playing soccer on the University of Wisconsin women’s club team in college. She continues to play recreationally, but now mostly enjoys watching the Portland Thorns.
