Background/Education:

Caitlin Wallace holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree and brings a unique background in athletics, performing arts, coaching, and movement training to her work as a physical therapist. Before becoming a PT, Caitlin pitched softball at the NCAA Division II level and later pursued aerial performing arts, completing a rigorous three-year professional training program at the New England Center for Circus Arts with a specialization in dance trapeze. They also coached aerial and circus arts for over eight years, which continues to shape their understanding of strength, mobility, injury prevention, and performance.

Clinical Interests:

Caitlin enjoys treating active individuals across the lifespan and is especially passionate about helping people return to sport, performance, recreation, work, and the activities that are most meaningful to them. Their clinical interests include sports rehabilitation, post-surgical rehabilitation, pelvic health, spine care, chronic pain, TMJ disorders, vestibular therapy, functional movement, and hypermobility. Caitlin is also interested in post-top surgery rehabilitation and continuing to develop expertise in gender-affirming care.

Experience:

Caitlin especially enjoys working with performing artists and overhead athletes, including aerial and circus artists, gymnasts, dancers, rock climbers, throwing athletes, and other active individuals. They have a particular interest in treating the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, hip, knee, foot and ankle, thoracic spine, jaw, vestibular system, and pelvis.

Caitlin strives to understand each patient’s unique goals and tailor treatment to their specific needs, lifestyle, and movement demands. Their approach considers how movement patterns, physical demands, and other contributing factors may influence symptoms, with a focus on helping patients build confidence, better understand their bodies, and return to the things they enjoy. Caitlin hopes patients leave therapy feeling heard, supported, and equipped with practical tools to maintain their progress and support their long-term health and movement goals.

Hobbies:

Outside the clinic, Caitlin continues to coach aerial arts, trains for indoor rock climbing, and enjoys oil painting and all things sci-fi.
